On the first day the patients were selected in function of sound surgical indiciation: about 35 women presented on the consultation. This time most of them had extensive and very complex fistula. Only ten patients had operable fistula and were scheduled for surgery. The brand new operation room was used for the first time and the honor of working in this beautiful modern OQ was to the team of Solfa.
As always we could count on a perfect cooperation from the whole surgical team of St Luc under the leading of Chief Nurse Nzuzi and Dr. Ndundu. and the nursing staff of the Maternity department under the leading of Mireille.
