This two week mission took place during the first half of March and was joined by Noel Haegens (bakery consultant) and Lieve Vanrusselt (local produce transformation and product development-incontinence products).
Please find below a summary of our activities and achievements:
- Quality control of all standardised processe in soy dairy, bakery and kitchen production; introduction of new products and ongoing teaching. Evaluation of sales and marketing strategies.
- Follow up of the construction of our second point of sale, planned to be ready end of May.
- On International Women's Day 8th March, Solfa settled the hospital bills of 42 women in the maternity and pediatric departments of Hospital St Luc in Kisantu. These mothers can now return home straightaway after medical treatment has been completed.
